We go through the actual work — the codebase, the stack, the seniority you need and whether the gap is capacity or missing expertise. If we do not have the right person available, or if what you are describing is really a project with a deadline rather than an extra pair of hands, we say so on that call rather than sell you the closest thing we have.

You meet the specific engineer who would join, review their background, and run your normal technical interview — including a code exercise if that is your process. Nobody is substituted afterwards without your agreement, and you are never asked to accept an unnamed profile chosen by an account manager.

Before the first commit we sign the commercial terms, a mutual NDA and an explicit assignment of all intellectual property in the delivered work to you. The contract also fixes the boring but important details: rate, invoicing cycle, notice period, working hours, and how confidential data and access credentials are handled.

The engineer takes your onboarding, uses your repository, ticket system, CI and review rules, and joins your ceremonies at your times. We do not run a parallel project plan or a separate status report — your existing process is the source of truth, and progress is visible in the same place as everyone else's.

At the end of the agreed trial we sit down with the numbers and the pull requests and make an explicit decision to continue, change the person, or stop. Because the trial is short and paid, ending it costs you very little, which is the point — the decision should be based on real work rather than an interview impression.

Throughout the engagement, decisions and setup live in your documentation rather than in one person's head, so nothing critical leaves when the engagement does. When you wind down, convert to a direct hire or move to a fuller arrangement — described on our Dedicated Teams and Developer Outsourcing pages — the handover is already most of the way written.
