Should we build cross-platform or fully native?

Cross-platform with React Native or Flutter is the right default for most business apps: one codebase, one team, and near-identical behaviour on both stores. We recommend native Swift or Kotlin when the product leans hard on device hardware, heavy graphics, sustained background processing, or the newest OS features on release day.

How long does a mobile app take to build?

A focused first version with authentication, a handful of core journeys and a working backend is a matter of months rather than weeks. The timeline is driven by how many distinct user roles and screens exist and how much of your backend already works, so we give a phased schedule after scoping rather than a number over the phone.

Will Apple and Google approve our app?

Accepted Answer

We build against the current App Store Review Guidelines and Google Play policies and prepare the privacy labels, data safety form and account deletion route reviewers look for. Rejections still happen, usually over metadata or permission usage; handling the response and resubmission is part of the launch, not an extra.

Do we need a backend, or can the app work on its own?

Accepted Answer

Anything involving accounts, payments, content you update, or data shared between devices needs a backend. We build them with Node.js, TypeScript and PostgreSQL, or connect the app to the systems you already run through their APIs so your data stays in one place.

What does ongoing maintenance actually involve?

Accepted Answer

iOS and Android ship major releases every year, SDKs are deprecated, and store policies change — an unmaintained app eventually stops being installable. A maintenance agreement covers OS compatibility, dependency and security updates, crash monitoring, and the store resubmissions those changes require.

What drives the cost of a mobile app?

The number of distinct screens and user roles, backend complexity, third-party integrations such as payments or logistics, and whether you need one platform or both. Design polish and offline support are real engineering work, so we scope them explicitly instead of burying them in a single number.

Who owns the code and the store accounts?

Accepted Answer

You do. The app is published under your own Apple Developer and Google Play accounts, and the source code lives in a repository you own from the first commit. Nothing in the build locks you into working with us afterwards.

Can we update the app without waiting for store review?

Accepted Answer

Content, configuration and much of the JavaScript layer in a React Native app can be updated over the air, so copy fixes and small changes reach users in hours. Native code changes and anything that materially alters functionality still go through normal store review.

Question 9

Can you take over an app someone else built?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is common work. We start with an audit of the codebase, dependencies and store accounts, then give you an honest assessment of whether to continue, refactor or rebuild — we do not insist on a rewrite to get involved.
