What files do we receive at the end?

A high-quality master, compressed MP4 and WebM versions sized for web and social, each aspect ratio you commissioned, an SRT caption file and the audio stems if voiceover and music are involved. Where the animation is for a product interface you also get a Lottie JSON or animated SVG. The After Effects project and source artwork are included in the handover.

Do we own the animation and the project files?

Yes, on final payment, including the editable project rather than only the rendered video. Licensed music, stock footage and voiceover talent stay under their own terms — we document exactly what is licensed, for which territories and for how long, so you know what you can reuse in a paid campaign versus organic posting.

How much does an animation cost?

Accepted Answer

Honestly, it scales with three things: duration, the complexity of what has to be drawn and rigged, and the number of revision rounds. Thirty seconds of simple icon-led motion is a fraction of ninety seconds of character animation, and every additional round after the frames are built adds real hours. We quote against an agreed duration and a fixed number of rounds so the number does not drift.

How many revision rounds are included?

Typically two: one on the script, one on the storyboard and style frames, plus a final round of minor timing and text fixes after the first animated cut. Structural changes after animation has started — reordering scenes, rewriting the voiceover, changing the visual style — are quoted separately because they mean re-animating, not adjusting.

How long does a project take?

A thirty to sixty second explainer typically takes three to five weeks: about a week for script and storyboard, a week or two of animation, then sound, captions and platform versions. Short social animations built on an existing style can be much faster. Waiting on script approval is the most common cause of delay.

Question 6

Can you work with our existing brand and artwork?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is the preferred starting point. We build from your logo files, colour system, typefaces and illustration style so the animation reads as an extension of the brand rather than something borrowed. If the static system is missing or inconsistent, we usually recommend settling that through our Graphic Design service first.

When does a 2D explainer beat live action?

Accepted Answer

When you have to show something that cannot be filmed: a process, a data flow, a software interface, an abstract benefit, or a product that does not exist yet. 2D is also far easier to update and to localise, since re-recording a voiceover is cheaper than a reshoot. Live action wins when the subject is people, places or physical craft — and we are a design team rather than a film crew, so in those cases we animate around your footage or recommend a production partner.

Which aspect ratios do we get, and why does it matter?

Usually 16:9 for a website or YouTube, 1:1 for feed and 9:16 for stories and Reels. These are recut, not letterboxed: a vertical version needs its own composition, and safe areas matter because platform interfaces overlay the top and bottom of the frame with profile names, captions and buttons. Text placed without allowing for that disappears behind the interface.

How do you design for autoplay with the sound off?

We assume no sound by default. The argument is carried by on-screen text and visual sequence, the first two seconds have to stop the scroll without audio, and we supply either burned-in open captions or an SRT file depending on the platform. Voiceover then becomes an enhancement for the viewers who unmute rather than the only way the message lands.

What is Lottie, and when should we use it instead of a video?

Lottie is a JSON format that plays vector animation natively in a web page or app, so a loading state, an empty state or an icon transition can weigh tens of kilobytes instead of a megabyte-scale video, stay sharp at any resolution and keep a transparent background. Use it for interface motion; use video for anything with photography, complex textures or a voiceover.

Can our team edit or update the animation later?

To a degree, and we set it up for that. Text layers, colour and duration are kept editable and organised so an in-house designer with After Effects can update a price, a date or a caption. Restructuring scenes or changing the animation style is a job for whoever built it, but nothing in the file is locked or obfuscated to prevent you from trying.

Question 12

Do you write the script and arrange voiceover, including other languages?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Scriptwriting is part of the process rather than an extra, and we direct voiceover in English, Turkish, German and Arabic through professional voice talent, with the script adapted per language rather than translated word for word. Timing changes between languages, so the animation is adjusted to fit the new read instead of forcing the read to fit the animation.
